The White Hat Fund, through the support of the Davis Ferguson Memorial Foundation, is now in the second year of existence, providing financial assistance through the Children’s Cancer Center to families that have a child on active treatment for cancer. This assistance goes directly toward paying the bills of essential living expenses to lighten the burden these families are experiencing.
In the first 7 months of this fiscal year, from July 1, 2013- January 31, 2014, 55 families have received assistance through the White Hat Fund.
In comparison to the inaugural year of the program, from July 2012- June 2013 the White Hat Fund assisted the same number of families, 55, that have been referred to the program in only 7 months of this year.
In only 7 months, the White Hat Fund has already paid the following number of bills for families of the Children’s Cancer Center:
If there was ever a need for assistance, now is it. More families are in financial distress than last year and are in need of the help the White Hat Fund provides. The Children’s Cancer Center thanks everyone that contributes to the White Hat Fund and assures you that every dollar donated goes directly toward paying the rent, mortgage, car loan, car insurance, utility, electric, phone, or funeral payment of a family in the Tampa Bay area that has a child diagnosed with cancer.
